What Are Stem Cells?
Put simply, adult stem cells are the healing and regeneration system of the body. The science surrounding stem cells and the understanding about what they do in the body is relatively new science, only having really begun in the last fifteen to twenty years.
Many people involved in stem cell research believe that stem cell therapy and stem cell nutrition are the future of medicine.
The potential that arises from the ability to increase numbers of adult stem cells circulating within the body with effective stem cell nutrition is particularly exciting!
Some Basic Information About Stem Cells
Stem cells are undifferentiated cells. What this means is that they don’t have a specific purpose – YET – (apart from being a stem cell of course). They can become any type of cell needed by the body.
For example, when you cut your hand part of the healing process involves stem cells becoming the skin cells that heal that cut.
And when you drink too much wine at dinner and your liver needs new cells to replace the old ones, adult stem cells become those new liver cells.
Stem cells also become kidney cells, muscle cells, bone cells, heart cells, brain cells etc etc..
You get the idea.
For our bodies to heal and repair, or to simply renew old worn out cells, we need adult stem cells.

The simple truth is that the greater the number of circulating stem cells in your blood, the better your health will be and the quicker you will heal when injured!
In the following videos, Christian Drapeau, Neuroscientist, stem cell researcher and creator of StemEnhance (stem cell nutrition product) explains more about stem cells, stem cell research and the value of stem cell nutrition for health.
