If you’re looking for an easy keto bread recipe or two, stick around. I’ve got something to share…
So, I’ve been eating completely gluten free for quite a lot of years now (for health reasons). I’ve also had a go at eating low carb and keto in the past to try to lose weight, but without much result for me unfortunately.
However Keto does provide good weight loss for many people, and I think it’s really common when anyone starts on a ketogenic diet that after a period of time, a craving for bread begins to kick in.
It did for me…
Well I’m happy to say I found a recipe book with some really good keto bread recipes (and they’re gluten free).
I know these days there are quite a lot of keto breads (and gluten free breads) available in the supermarkets, but they’re expensive, and the ingredients in them can often be questionable.
I personally have avoided eating commercial gluten free breads because most contain various forms of corn, probably GM, and corn is something I’ve been sensitive to for a long time.
The great thing about baking your own bread is that it’s cheaper and you know what’s in it, and I honestly remember feeling like I’d hit the jackpot when I found this recipe book – that’s why I’m sharing it. 🙂
The Best Keto Bread Recipe – Not Eggy!
So I’ve gone for many years at a time where I ate no bread at all.
But I still missed it!
Bread is so yummy and convenient and I was more than happy to be able to be back eating it.
But this is not your average bread…
This is keto bread! That’s right – low carb, gluten free and really yummy, unlike some of the nasty commercial gluten free breads.
What happened is that I think I found the best, and I mean seriously the best, keto bread recipe book with amazing keto bread recipes that are simple and taste great and can be eaten by anyone eating keto, low carb, paleo, or gluten free.
Where Did I Find This Awesome Keto Bread Recipe Book?
How it came about was that I was looking through an old email account that I wasn’t using trying to find a message and I spotted an email with a recipe for a paleo friendly bread.
It caught my eye for some reason even though it wasn’t what I was looking for, and so I read the ingredients just out of interest. I realised with some delight that I could actually eat this bread because it was gluten free and it could be eaten even on a keto or gluten free diet.
I clicked through to the website from the email. I had a quick look at the information on the website and after seeing how cheap this recipe book was I bought a copy.
This was a few years ago now, and to be honest I was a little skeptical at first. I’ve tried lots of bad gluten free bread recipes in the past, and I wasn’t convinced that these keto breads would be good. But for the small cost of the recipe book I figured it was worth the risk.
And it turned out to be a risk well taken because the recipe book is great and I’ve used the recipes a lot over the years since.
There’s also tons of info in this book about eating keto, plus loads of tips about the different ingredients and how to get the best results, as well as a really good variety of recipes including:
- Sesame Onion Sandwich Bread
- Better Banana Bread
- Hearty Sandwich Bread
- Almond Butter Bread
- Keto Protein Bread
- Cashew Sourdough Bread
- Real Deal Keto Bread
- English Muffins
- Keto pita pockets
- and more….
There’s also rolls & buns, crackers and flat-breads, and even a couple of very good pizza bases!
One of the best things that I loved about this book immediately was that they’ve gone to the trouble of including the nutritional information for each recipe.
That means that if you’re counting carbs you know exactly how many carbs are in a serving of each bread, and amazingly, these breads are all under 5g of carbohydrate per serving. Many of them are only one or two grams.
Brilliant!

What Is The Recipe For Keto Bread?
When I made my first loaf of keto bread, quite amazingly, I found that when I was mixing the mixture in the bowl it had a very pleasant ‘bready’ smell and I’m not sure why…
Maybe it was my imagination and anticipation… 😛
Anyway, I mixed the ingredients all together, baked it and then I took it from the oven and let it cool down.
Once cool, I cut a slice and cautiously took a bite.
Now. I was really not expecting what came next!
Honestly? I was expecting something that was kind of dry, and maybe okay if I was lucky.
But this bread was actually great! I mean seriously good and definitely very, very edible…
This bread has great texture and a great flavour. It’s not crumbly or dry, or eggy!
I was truly amazed….
And so the next day I made another loaf of of this delicious bread because between hubby and I we demolished the first one quick smart! Except I made a double batch this time because the loaf was too small for my tin and the loaf was a bit shallow.
Doubling the recipe gave the same perfect results, with the same cooking time, but a larger loaf.
That was a happy day… 😀
So I thought I’d share this one recipe below, copied straight from the book, and the photo down the page is my loaf.
Here’s a photo of that first loaf of Keto Bread. 😀
If you’re looking for good low carb, keto, paleo or gluten free bread recipes then this might be for you. If so, and grab yourself a copy of this book!
P.S. The author of this book also has an book full of keto dessert recipes that are also low carb, paleo, gluten free and that look amazing! (I have yet to try them, but that’s on my ‘to do’ list!)
